🏟️ 【Siu Sai Wan】 is situated at the easternmost tip of the on Hong Kong Island. Originally a small bay in the eastern part of , it was named after its former designation “Sai Wan”. Historically, it served as the site of the largest British intelligence centre in the Far East. During the Cold War, it housed the “Siu Sai Wan Royal Air Force Monitoring Station,” affiliated with the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), which was tasked with intercepting communications from mainland China until its decommissioning in the 1980s, just before the handover. Since the 1980s, following the urban development of , Siu Sai Wan has transformed into a residential area.
