Start at the entrance of 【Pak Lap (白腊)】, a peaceful village famous for its vibrant 『Rainbow Houses』 and traditional farmland. After passing the local store and the historic 【Pak Lap Old Village Ruins (白腊舊村遺址)】, begin your ascent up 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】. Though a 『hidden gem』, the climb up 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】 rewards you with 360 panoramic views of the Sai Kung coastline. Descend toward the crystal-clear waters and white sands of 【Pak Lap Wan (白腊灣)】, often called the 『Maldives of Hong Kong』. Finally, loop back to the village to finish your journey.

【Start】 Take a taxi from 【Sai Kung Town (西貢市中心)】 and get off at the 【Pak Lap Village • Entrance (白腊村 • 村口)】, then follow the village path downward. As you enter the village, you’ll be greeted by a lush green meadow. Continue along the small path for a short distance, and you’ll see the 【Rainbow Houses (彩虹屋)】 on your right. After grabbing some 『check-in』 photos at the houses, keep following the path to reach the 【Pak Lap Store (白腊 • 士多)】.

【Finish】 After leaving the store, backtrack toward the 【Rainbow Houses (彩虹屋)】. Take the small trail in front of the houses, which leads to the hiking entrance. Once you transition onto the mountain path, you’ll see your destination, 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】, straight ahead. Follow the trail as it descends from the slope into the valley to find the 【Pak Lap Old Village Ruins (白腊 • 舊村遺址)】. This area is a popular camping “hotspot,” so you’ll likely see plenty of tents. Finally, tackle the steep uphill scramble to reach the summit of 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】.

4. 📍 Pak Lap • Store

After leaving the store, backtrack to the 【Rainbow Houses (彩虹屋)】. Take the small trail in front of the houses to reach the hiking entrance.

Once you enter the mountain path, your destination — 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】—is straight ahead.

Keep moving along the trail until you hit a junction. The main path goes to 【Tung A Village (東丫村)】, but you need to turn left onto a smaller mountain path.
‼️ Attention: The stone path leading straight goes to 【Tung A Village (東丫村)】. Make sure to turn left at the junction to head toward 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】.

Follow the small path as it drops from the slope into the valley to find the 【Pak Lap Old Village Ruins (白腊 • 舊村遺址)】. This is a popular camping spot, so expect to see some tents.

6. 📍 Pak Fu Shan

Once you successfully bag the summit of 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】, look back from the high vantage point to soak in the scenery you’ve just hiked through.

7. 📍 Kei Tau Kok Teng

From 【Pak Fu Shan (白虎山)】, trek another 700m to reach 【Kei Tau Kok Teng (企頭角頂)】. Here, you can admire the views of 【Town Island (伙頭墳洲)】, 【Wang Chau (橫洲)】, and 【Basalt Island (火石洲)】.

8. 📍 Pak Lap Wan • Beach

Leave 【Kei Tau Kok Teng (企頭角頂)】 and backtrack to 【Pak Lap Village (白腊村)】. You can grab a meal or rest at the store. Right in front of the store is 【Pak Lap Wan • Beach (白腊灣 • 沙灘)】, where you can stroll along the sand and enjoy the cool sea breeze.

9. 📍 Pak Lap Wan • Pier

After the pier, follow the village road back up to the 【Pak Lap Village Entrance (白腊村 • 村口)】. Call a taxi to head back to 【Sai Kung Town Centre (西貢市中心)】 to finish your trip.
