Sharp Peak . Chek Keng . Wong Shek Pier
蚺蛇尖 . 赤徑 . 黃石碼頭
This hiking route kicks off from Wong Shek Pier and passes through To Kwa Peng. This section is relatively flat and perfect for a warm-up. You’ll then follow MacLehose Trail – Section 2, where you can catch distant views of Sharp Peak. As one of the 『Three Sharp Peaks of Hong Kong』, conquering Sharp Peak requires a fair bit of stamina and technical skill, but the panoramic views from the summit are absolutely stunning. Once you reach Chek Keng, you’ll find a historic Hakka village featuring the century-old 『Holy Family Chapel』. Moving past Tai Lang Au, the trail starts to incline, so you’ll need to put in some legwork. You will then arrive at Sharp Peak Au, which serves as the starting point for the climb up the peak. The stretch from Sharp Peak Au to Sharp Peak is quite steep and rugged, so watch your step and climb with care. Finally, head back down the same way from Sharp Peak to Chek Keng Public Pier. From there, you can hop on a kaito to head back to Wong Shek Pier.
