Yung Shue Au Village, Heung Heung House – Restoration Project

The building surrounded by scaffolding and being cleared out in the photo is the village’s famous “Heung Heung House.” Backed by the 《Chinachem Group》, the “Heung Heung House Restoration Project” is led by a team of teachers and students from the architecture departments of 《The Chinese University of Hong Kong》 and 《Tsinghua University》. The Goal: To revitalize this century-old abandoned village house, repairing its structurally damaged roof and walls. The Use: Once restored, it will be turned into a multi-purpose “Experimental Communal Hub” (ECH), serving as a village story house, a community center, and a workstation for rural revitalization.
