Green Egg Island has historically been known as Lan Pai among Sai Kung fishermen. It is an island in Hong Kong composed of volcanic rock dating back over 100 million years, situated in the waters northeast of Tai Ling Tung within Clearwater Bay Country Park. In recent years, visitors noticed that the “yolk” at the center of the island is covered in lush green vegetation, making it resemble a fried egg, which earned it its modern name.
