So Lo Pun Bay – Kai Ming Villa

Here is a small workshop. The red couplets at the entrance add a rich cultural touch to this simple building. Usually pasted during the Lunar New Year, they express a bright vision for life. The horizontal scroll reads: “Chun He Jing Li” (春和景麗), describing the warm spring and beautiful scenery. The left couplet reads: “Fu Jiang Ren Jian Xin” (福降人間新), implying that blessings have descended and all things are renewed. The right couplet starts with: “Chun Hui Da Di…” (春回大地…)—though partly damaged, it typically concludes with “Fa” (發) or “Nuan” (暖), symbolizing a burst of life and warmth sweeping across the land.
