So Lo Pun Village, Crumbling Walls and Ruins

Even though the roofs have caved in, the solid blue-brick walls stand firm, showing off the impressive scale and traditional craftsmanship of the old village. While the houses are long abandoned, bright red couplets are still pasted on the door frames. These are usually fresh couplets put up by indigenous villagers or heritage groups returning during the Lunar New Year for ancestral worship, showing that despite being deserted, the village stays tied to the outside world through spirit and tradition.
