《Right Couplet》: “Magnificent rivers and mountains across the vast land,” 《Left Couplet》: “Spring colors fill the human world.” Even though no one lives here permanently, the brand-new couplets show that descendants still return to the village every year to worship their ancestors and tidy up. This is a very common sight in Hong Kong’s abandoned village culture, embodying the sentiment of “the people may leave, but their roots remain.”
