Lai Chi Wo Village, Siu Ying Hub

The hub sits on the original site of the 《Siu Ying School》. Founded in the 1920s through donations from wealthy local families, it once served as the primary education center for children from the “Hing Chun Alliance” (a coalition of seven local villages including Lai Chi Wo, Mui Tsz Lam, and Hop Tong). As villagers migrated to urban areas or overseas, the school closed its doors in the 1980s. Under rural conservation initiatives, it was later revitalized into a space that showcases village history and promotes Hakka culture.
