The name of 1 Barker Road originates from 『The Pavilion』, a historical building constructed in the 1930s that once served as the official residence for senior British officials stationed in Hong Kong. The Pavilion has since been designated as a Grade I Historic Building in Hong Kong and has been converted into a private clubhouse.
