In recent years, various sectors of society have actively driven rural revitalization, with project organizations under the 《Lai Chi Wo Countryside Conservation Funding Scheme》 playing a key role. Revitalization efforts include restoring the East and West Gatehouses, converting abandoned village houses into “Country Gardens,” and restoring fallow agricultural land. The Countryside Conservation Office has also assisted non-profit organizations in securing hotel licenses for century-old village houses to operate the “Lai Chi Wo Hakka Life Experience Village.” This allows visitors to stay overnight and experience authentic rural lifestyle and culture, driving the sustainable development of rural conservation.
