A feng shui master later advised them to build a feng shui enclosure wall to lock in wealth and good fortune. Following its construction, the villagers’ livelihoods did indeed improve. In reality, the turnaround is widely credited to the rise of universal education and the villagers’ own hard work, resilience, and sheer determination.
