Lai Chi Wo – Archway | 01

This Paifang gate was built in the 1980s through a fundraising initiative started entirely by Lai Chi Wo villagers who had moved overseas. At the time, the village was facing severe depopulation and was nearly deserted. The remaining residents and overseas emigrants hoped to use this gateway to remind future generations never to forget their ancestral roots.
