Visitor Info Board: Hakka Village Life, Wai Tsai

Echoes of Wai Tsai: Where Time Stands Still. Sited right along the ancient path leading to , “Wai Tsai” was once a row of traditional Hakka houses that marked the boundary between the village and the paddy fields. Though weathered by the elements, the buildings still keep their original character, looking out over the land as a silent witness to the days when villagers worked from sunrise to sunset, heading up the hills to gather firewood or out to sea to fish.
