Memories and spirit within the stone masonry of 《Fuk On Kui》. “Fuk On Kui” is made up of two connected houses in the middle and one house behind them. All three feature brick exterior walls capped with traditional Chinese gable tiled roofs. The door frames and lintels of the houses on the left and right are crafted from granite sourced from mainland China. On the lintel of the left house, the characters “Fuk On Kui” are neatly and finely carved from right to left. Above the lintel of the right house are two square windows. The house on the far right connected to “Fuk On Kui” shares a very similar material and style, but it actually belonged to a different family. The house on the far left was rebuilt in the 1960s; this two-storey hybrid building features a concrete front facade, though the roof still keeps its traditional gable tiled style with wooden beams.
