The Spring Breeze Pavilion was officially unveiled on March 12, 1996, by the then Governor of Hong Kong, Chris Patten. Inside the pavilion are three inscribed plaques: one is the Governor’s commemorative plaque, while the other two display bilingual inscriptions in Chinese and English written by the then Director of Education, Helen Yu Lai Ching-ping, detailing the events of the tragedy. Two Buddhist pines are planted in front of the pavilion to honor the noble spirit of the two teachers.
