『A Hakka Ancient Village Nestled in the Hills』 Tucked away in a valley northwest of Robin’s Nest Country Park, Lin Ma Hang Village boasts a history of over 300 years. The village owes its name to a commonly seen local plant—the Mountain Orange, which villagers called “Lin Ma.” Lin Ma Hang is a multi-clan Hakka village, home to families with surnames such as Yip, Sin, Lau, Koon, and Cheung, with its population peaking at over 1,000 residents during its heyday. In the past, the villagers of Lin Ma Hang made their living through farming, making the hills their home and living a life closely intertwined with Robin’s Nest. Today, the village still retains its original rural charm.
