Robin’s Nest, Wutong Mountain Ecological Corridor – Information Board

Robin’s Nest Country Park is contiguous with Shenzhen’s Wutong Mountain range, serving as a critical terrestrial ecological link between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Cooperation and the exchange of ecological data between both sides help optimize the ecological corridor stretching across the border. The continuous ridges and crisscrossing natural streams throughout the and Wutong Mountain area provide diverse habitats for wildlife, harboring a rich array of species. Rising 492 metres above sea level, has recorded around 30 mammalian species, 60 bird species, and 100 butterfly species. Standing at about 940 metres, Wutong Mountain is nestled within the Wutong Mountain National Park, where over 1,900 plant species and 250 terrestrial animal species have been documented, including many national key protected wild flora and fauna such as the Flying Spider-monkey Tree Fern and the Small Indian Civet. Enhancing this ecological corridor facilitates cross-border ecological integration. Ongoing habitat management, monitoring, and conservation efforts will further enrich the biodiversity of the region.
