Kuk Po – Wooden Signpost

The wooden sign is carved with the characters for Kuk Po, featuring a design that blends right into the rural surroundings, with traditional red tiles stacked at the base to echo the style of the ancient village houses. The sign on the right reads 《Kuk Po Ng Tso Field Study Base》. Kuk Po is made up of several small hamlets (from Yat Tso to Ng Tso); “Tso” (肚) in the Hakka dialect means a plain nestled in a mountain valley.
