The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus Hong Kong

Walking about 1.7 kilometres from the starting point at 🚉MTR Station , we arrived at the Entrance of Path. Situated to the right of the Entrance of Path is a very uniquely designed complex—The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus Hong Kong, which serves as a major hub for the University of Chicago in Asia. Located at Mount Davis in Western District, it covers an area of about 1.2 hectares. The campus is composed of two distinct components: a newly constructed academic complex and the revitalized former Detention Centre, colloquially known as the “White House”. This location not only hosts the Executive MBA (EMBA) programme for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, but also accommodates various academic research, educational, and collaborative activities spanning all schools and divisions of the University of Chicago. The University of Chicago Hong Kong campus officially opened on November 30, 2018, made possible with support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and University of Chicago Trustee Francis Tin Fan Yuen and his wife, Rose Wai Man. The campus showcases both the excellent traditions and values of the University of Chicago and the rich history and culture of Hong Kong, serving as a vibrant and innovative academic platform.
