All MacIntosh Forts were constructed of reinforced concrete, sharing a consistent architectural style, design, and layout. The floor plan of each fort forms an isosceles triangle, with a two-story circular watchtower at the apex, while the single-story wings on both sides form the two equal edges of the triangle. The watchtower and both wings feature flat roofs, with the top of the watchtower being circular or octagonal, and protective parapet walls built on top of the wings for defense. This structure has been classified as a Grade 2 Historic Building.
