Cheung Pai Tau is a cape located around Sha Tau Kok in the northeastern New Territories of Hong Kong, to the southwest of Ap Chau Hoi and just off Tai Sham Chung. Its famous landmark is a small lagoon that appears during low tide; when the wind is calm and the water is still, the surface becomes as smooth as a mirror, faithfully reflecting the sky. Situated right between San Kau Po Kok and Sam Kok Tsui, Cheung Pai Tau combines with these two capes, along with Cheong Shek Tsui, Kei Shan Tsui, and Ah Kung Tsui, to be collectively known as the “Five Northeastern Capes”.
