Lai Chi Wo Piazza – Pavilion | Hip Tin Temple History

《Hip Tin Temple》 is a Grade 2 Historic Building that carries centuries of history and Hakka culture. Initially constructed during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (around the 1780s), most of the surviving structure was rebuilt in the 1890s. The main deity enshrined here is Lord Guan, honorifically known by locals as the “Hip Tin Emperor.”
