The 《White-Flower Derris》 is a massive climbing plant featuring white blossoms with reddish bracts, and its thick vines can twist and grow to the height of an adult’s waist or even higher. It coexists with the heritiera mangrove (Heritiera littoralis) and local mangroves to form a unique wetland forest. Lai Chi Wo is the only place in Hong Kong boasting a full, contiguous grove of white-flower derris, making it a site of special scientific value.
