The 《Lai Chi Wo Piazza》 before you is steeped in rich history and cultural heritage. The plaza is surrounded by century-old banyan trees, alongside the “Pak Kung” shrine guarding the village, defensive cannons once used to fend off pirates, the historical Siu Ying School that once nurtured local talents, and the Grade 3 Historic Buildings of Hip Tin Temple and Hok Shan Monastery. The center of the plaza serves as the primary venue for major village events; in addition to the decennial “Hing Chun Alliance” Jiao Festival, it has also hosted various cultural performances funded under the 《Countryside Conservation Funding Scheme》.
