《Fuk On Kui》 is one of the most iconic ruins in the village. This is a two-storey house built in a blended traditional Chinese and modern style. Although the roof and interior structure have completely collapsed, the second-floor balcony railings can still be clearly seen. The back and top of the building are entirely covered by a massive old banyan tree and lush vegetation. This “house-and-tree-as-one” scenery shows how the forces of nature have reclaimed man-made structures, giving it a beautifully decaying and mysterious vibe.
