『Connected Ecological Scenery』: The northern slopes of Robin’s Nest Country Park feature dense, lush green vegetation, while the high grounds of the southern slopes consist mainly of grasslands and sparse shrublands. With natural streams crisscrossing the landscape and minimal human presence, its natural ecosystem remains wonderfully diverse and unique. Species taking root in Robin’s Nest include its namesake “red flowers”—the Red Azalea, Gordonia, and Chinese New Year Flower—alongside wildlife like the Chinese Grassbird and Barking Deer. The Lin Ma Hang Lead Mine is also one of Hong Kong’s most important bat habitats and was designated a “Site of Special Scientific Interest” (SSSI) in 1994.
