The Sky Stairs of Cloudy Hill is a famously challenging section within Hong Kong’s hiking community. This path is highly renowned for its immense number of steps; there are already 1,214 steps leading from the entrance to the resting facilities, and another 956 steps stretching from Yuk Sau Fung to Cloudy Hill. Not including the natural mountain trails and slopes, hikers must conquer at least 2,170 steps in total. This route not only offers beautiful scenery such as ocean views of Tolo Harbour, dancing butterflies, and silvergrass, but also features multiple pavilions for hikers to take a break. Certain sections of the Sky Ladder are equipped with handrails to help hikers pull themselves up, though it still demands excellent physical strength and endurance to complete the challenge. During the autumn and winter seasons, the silvergrass comes into full bloom here, adding even more enjoyment to the hike.
